Deep Cove Campsite

The Deep Cove Campsite is located just to the east of the hand-carry boat access at Deep Cove Point and is a quick paddle—less than 1,000 feet from the preserve’s hand-carry site. At this private camp site, you will find a fire ring and picnic table overlooking the secluded cove. Look and listen for loons, ducks, and beaver in the marsh. This campsite is accessed by water only and is available for groups up to 6 people by reservation.  [Add reservation link to all campsites and cabin]

The campsite has only a primitive privy. All waste must be removed, including toilet paper. This will greatly extend the life of the privy and provide a more pleasant experience for the user. No trash should be burned other than paper.

  • Reserve the campsite ahead of time. Reservations are free at this link.
  • Fires may be in designated fire rings only.
  • Remove ALL waste.
  • Respect lake neighbors by keeping noise low.
  • Some firewood may be provided. Do not cut trees or branches and bringing in firewood from out of state is against the law.
  • Completely extinguish fires before sleeping and before leaving the site.
